In the fall of 2025, the University of Guelph will launch a brand-new Master of Cybersecurity Leadership and Cyberpreneurship program. The program, which is jointly offered by the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics and the School of Computer Science, will educate students for careers as researchers, policymakers, managers, and thought leaders in cybersecurity.

To make the curriculum accessible to working professionals, it will include remote learning and experiential learning possibilities. According to Dr. Sean Lyons, associate dean (research and graduate studies) at the UoGuelph Lang School of Business, "leaders who can think critically, innovate strategically, and inspire others are needed in the future of cybersecurity." "Our graduates will work for companies and start new businesses that will influence the industry's future."The new Master of Cybersecurity Leadership and Cyberpreneurship (MCLC) program at the University of Guelph is set to debut in the autumn of 2025 with the goal of producing the next generation of cybersecurity business leaders and chief information security officers in order to combat the growth in cybercrime.
