Sankranti School Holidays in Andhra Pradesh Will Now Take Place on January 19–20, 2024

The state government of Andhra Pradesh announced that kids' Sankranti school breaks in 2024 would be extended by two days. The Sankranti holiday will now be commemorated on January 19 and 20, according to a statement made by the Commissioner of School Education on Wednesday.The date of the schools' reopening is set on January 22, 2024. According to a Times Now report, the Commissioner of School Education issued this directive after taking parents' and teachers' input into account.The Education Department has sent a notification to all District Education Officers in the State, asking them to schedule make-up classes for these two additional days during the upcoming General vacations in the Academic Year 2023–2024, in order to make up for the longer holidays. These guidelines are to be followed by headmasters of all kinds of schools, including assisted, private, public, and ZPP/MPP.Sankranti vacations In the past, Andhra Pradesh schools celebrated Sankranti with a 10-day holiday from January 9 to January 18. From January 12–17, the state of Telangana also had a holiday.Ayodhya's Ram Mandir is scheduled to open on January 22, and there have been suggestions that educational institutions may have an extra day off. In the meantime, in honor of Ram Janmbhoomi's "Pran Pratishtha," the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Goa have announced a public holiday for all government offices and educational institutions in their respective states.
