The stipends of scholars enrolling in IIM-K's Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM), which grants a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), would increase by 20–25 percent. The institute offers a full-time, residential, fully funded PhD program in DPM. The most recent change to the IIM-K fellowship was made in the Financial Year (FY) 2018–19. According to IIM-K, two thirds of the institute's DPM graduates have been hired as faculty members at esteemed universities in Europe, North America, and the Middle East as well as prominent national institutes (such IITs and IIMs). Reputable corporate organizations have sent employment offers to other DPM graduates.
