According to her mother, an ill Australian baby who got an unknown bacterial infection in Bali is making "huge improvements" in the hospital.Seven weeks old Lucky was born in Bali to Australian parents Honey Ahimsa and Pan after she became unable to breathe on her own due to an unidentified disease.Due to a shortage of materials, Indonesian medical professionals were unable to treat the newborn, but they were able to detect that she had a bacterial infection that was causing her lungs to stop functioning.Lucky's mother Honey has subsequently confirmed on social media that the child is recovering in the hospital following the organization of an emergency Medivac flight to transport the family to Brisbane for treatment. "Doctors said she wasn't going to make it and now here she is in my arms for the first time in nine days," Ahimsa said to her Instagram account.
"This emotion is unmatched by anything else."Our miraculous baby, she is a warrior. I will always be grateful to everyone who made this happen. Ahimsa released a heartwarming video of herself holding her young daughter in the hospital, her emotions evident. Ahimsa was born in Melbourne but recently moved to Indonesia with her small family. Despite their best efforts, the Balinese doctors were unable to provide the newborn with the care that he needed because of a shortage of facilities and materials.Nearly $200,000 has been raised for the young family through a crowd funding page.
