A high-power steering group that would surpass BJP TN leader Annamalai and no negotiations with AIADMK rebels are among the demands made by the AIADMK, which was at a loss for options.According to sources, the two leaders' meeting may result in Palaniswami rejoining the NDA, an alliance the general secretary of the AIADMK has been opposing. Weeks of talks between AIADMK and BJP leaders preceded Palaniswami's visit. The Tamil Nadu party was hesitant to re-affiliate with the BJP, a North-centric party that the AIADMK's primary adversary, the DMK, has been portraying as a sign of a dominant Center.

Today, March 25, Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), the general secretary of the AIADMK, is in the nation's capital, igniting rumors that the party may rejoin the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which is led by the Bharatiya Janata Party. According to sources, EPS may meet with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the nation's capital.According to the official statement of Tamil Nadu's opposition party, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), EPS is in Delhi to visit the news party headquarters. EPS used a video conference from Chennai to officially open the party building, which cost ₹10 crore to construct. The meeting between EPS and Amit Shah, however, may open the door for the party to rejoin the NDA, according to a report in the Indian Express that cited sources. Since September 2023, when the two parties split apart for a variety of reasons, chief among them being the departure of K Annamalai, the president of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, EPS has been opposing the partnership.
