Delhi hospital fire: Owner of the daycare center, a doctor who was on duty at the time, was taken into police custody

Doctors Navin Khichi and Aakash, who are charged in connection with the Baby Care fire, have been remanded to police custody by a Delhi court till May 30.The owner of Baby Care New Born Child Hospital, which caught fire and killed seven newborns, Dr. Navin Khichi, was placed into police detention till May 30 by a Delhi court on Monday.Dr. Akash, an additional defendant, was on duty when the private neonatal hospital caught fire late on Saturday. He has also been taken into police custody.

The Delhi Police took Khichi and Akash into custody on Sunday. Twelve newborns were in the hospital at the time of the occurrence, according to the report that was sent in to the divisional commissioner of Delhi.
