2024's Independence Day Complete list of Delhi's parking spots, alternate routes, and traffic limitations

An advise detailing all the restrictions to be adhered to on Independence Day in the nation's capital has been released by the Delhi traffic police.In advance of Independence Day and its full dress rehearsal on August 13, the Delhi traffic police have released an advisory notifying drivers of road closures and alternate routes.Until after Independence Day, it is forbidden to fly any non-conventional aerial platforms in Delhi, including paragliders, paramotors, hang gliders, UAVs, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, quadcopters, and para-jumping from airplanes.Additionally, attendees of the Independence Day event should ensure that they do not bring any of the following items: lunch boxes, water bottles, tiffin boxes, cameras, binoculars, remote control cars keys, umbrellas, handbags, briefcases, transistors, and cigarette lighters.

Here are some important things to remember on Independence Day regarding traffic. Major road closures: on Tuesday from 4 am to 11 am, the following routes will be closed: Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and its Link Road, Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT, and Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover. Alternative routes: Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Kautilya Marg, SPM Marg, 11 Murti, Mother Teresa Crescent, Park Street, Mandir Marg, Panchkuian Road, and Rani Jhansi Road are the routes that people who commute between north and south Delhi should take to reach their destination. Vehicles in the east-west corridor are required to utilize other NH-24 routes.
