According to a senior authority, all that is needed is his father's final approval.Over the years, Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar has frequently criticized dynastic politics. One of his primary grievances against the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is that they "promoted only family." Additionally, Kumar would frequently claim that "Bihar was his family."Ahead of the Assembly elections, however, the JD(U) may now be preparing to accept a political heir. After Holi, Kumar's son Nishant Kumar is expected to get involved in politics, according to JD(U) insiders who spoke to The Indian Express.
He appears prepared to enter politics. A JD(U) source close to the chief minister stated, "It is just about getting the go-ahead from Nitish Kumar." According to the source, Kumar was made aware of the "increasing demand from party workers" over Nishant, 48, who has so far stayed in the background, went to Bakhtiyarpur with his father on January 8 to unveil statues of liberation warriors. "If it is possible, please vote for the JD(U) and my father and bring him back (in the elections scheduled for later this year)," he said reporters as he stood on the sidelines of the ceremony, a little distance from his father.Nishant's political debut.
